NBA Rumors: Kobe Bryant retirement fast forwards Lakers trade of Nick Young, Lou Williams
There teams that despite having great potential are facing defeats after defeats. The most glaring examples of such teams include the Los Angeles Lakers.
In this whole season thus far the team has managed merely three wins and despite the presence of stalwarts like Kobe Bryant, they are enduring one humiliation after the other.
Despite repeated failures the team management is trying its best to improve things as soon as possible. Head coach Byron Scott is looking to shake things up within the roster and that has started with Nick Young and Lou Williams involved in the rumor to be placed on the trading block.
There is no denying the fact that Young’s numbers have been on the decline ever since he averaged 17.9 points per game in 2013 and many teams could use a proven 3-point shooter on their second unit. On the other hand, Williams has been observed to have lost his tempo in the game. There are now some reports linking Williams to a possible trade.
It must be noted that Williams is a great prospect. After winning the Sixth Man of the Year award, Williams seemed to be one of the better signings for the Lakers this season. While he performed well in the up-tempo, heavy ball movement offense of the Toronto Raptors, Lou has struggled to match those numbers with the Lakers
