What actually forced 76ers’ Jahlil Okafor to attack someone: NVO NEWS’ version
Jahlil Okafor is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor is not hogging limelight for his on-field exploits but something that is far removed from his team or the game.
Reports suggest that Philadelphia 76ers center was involved in a fight at a Boston nightclub late Wednesday night. He is seen in an aggressive frame and footage shows him first pushing someone and then hitting him.
A TMZ report says that the NBA superstar thrashed a man with his powerful punch that knocked out the other person who is not clearly visible in the footage.
Other reports suggest that the NBA player was actually infuriated by someone screaming, “the 76ers suck,” at Okafor. Later things started going out when someone got physical with an unnamed teammate of Okafor’s.
The source is being quoted as saying, “[Okafor] was being heckled from the moment he left the club and felt threatened because people swarmed him on the street…So Jahlil did what he felt he needed to do to protect himself and his friend.”
The TMZ report says, “It all went down after Okafor and the 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics — Jahlil and some friends went out on the town … and ended up in an altercation in front of Storyville Boston nightclub. 19-year-old Okafor was screaming at the other man, “We got money you broke ass n**ga…A scuffle ensues — people tried to hold Okafor back — but then he escapes and swings wildly at another man … connecting … and sending him flying to the groundâ€.
In the meantime the 76ers said in a statement, “We are aware of the report and we are currently working to gather additional information…Until that time, we will have no further comment.”
