Muzaffar Ali who was barred from IIMC will deliver ‘5th K P Singh Memorial Lecture’ at AMU

Aligarh: Noted Film Director, Producer, Padma Shree, Muzaffar Ali of ‘Umrao Jaan’ fame will deliver the ‘5th K P Singh Memorial Lecture’ on the topic of ‘language of moving images in 21st century’ on April 28 at 11: 30 pm at the Kennedy Auditorium, Aligarh Muslim University. The Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) has consented to preside over the function.

Professor Tariq Islam, coordinator of the memorial lecture said that all who are interested may attend the lecture.

‘K P Singh Memorial Lecture’ is held annually since 2010 to remember contributions of AMU Professor, noted writer and critique late K P Singh. During his services in AMU, Prof KP Singh has been the Dean Faculty of Arts and Chairman Department of Hindi and University Executive Council and Academic Council member.muzaffar ali

Since 2010, eminent writers, bureaucrats, academicians and jurists like Mr Vibhuti Narain Rai, Medha Patkar, Justice J S Verma and Wajahat Habibullah have delivered K P Singh Memorial Lectures.

Mr Muzaffar Ali, who will be delivering the ‘5th K P Singh Memorial Lecture’ is a filmmaker, fashion designer, poet, artist, music-lover, revivalist and a social worker.
