Muslim women shine at AMU Women’s Polytechnic
Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim Universityâ€™s Womenâ€™s Polytechnic organized a Prize Distribution cum Annual Function after successfully concluding the Poly Week â€˜ASSIDOUS.â€™
Mrs Sabiha Simi Shah, wife of Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah (retd) attended the function as the Chief Guest while Mrs Rizwana Ali, wife of Aligarh Muslim University Pro Vice Chancellor, Brigadier S Ahmad Ali (retd) attended the function as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing students and staff, Mrs Sabiha Simi Shah appreciated the efforts and contribution of Women’s Polytechnic in women’s education in the field of engineering and technology. Distributing the prizes to the winners, she congratulated and wished them success.
Meanwhile, Mrs Rizwana Ahmad Ali shared ideas which can help students in their future. Talking about important roles of women in development of society, she pointed out that women are performing in fields like sports and education. She also gave away the prizes to the winners.
Presiding over the function, Professor Mohibullah Khan shared his experiences with students and appreciated the role of University Women’s Polytechnic in the field of engineering and assured his support for betterment of Womenâ€™s Polytechnic. His wife Mrs Shaheen Jamal also distributed prizes to the winners.
Principal Womenâ€™s Polytechnic and President of the Poly Society, Mrs Salma Shaheen presented the Annual Report of University Women’s Polytechnic. With the report, she presented the facts and achievements of the Women’s Polytechnic in different areas. She said Womenâ€™s Polytechnic students are doing well and are getting placed in reputed organizations.
In charge Poly Society, Dr Sheeba Kamal delivered the vote of thanks. Earlier, the Poly Society Vice President Sadhvi Varshney welcomed the guests.
