Though it is still sometime away but Android lovers are wondering if Motorola X Phone or Google Nexus 5 will come with Android 5.0 or Jelly Bean?

Motorola X phone or Google Nexus 5 are hogging limelight, months before their release in the market. So far neither Motorola nor its new masters have spoken a single word about its launch, specifications or any features. But the excitement stems from the fact that the new Google handset will come with next generation Android operating system Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie besides of course being substantially cheaper than market leaders. This hope stems from the fact that the company launched its present flagship handset Google Nexus 4 with very low price tag. Comparable to top smart-phones from Samsung and Apple in specifications and features, the handset comes with very low price tag.

Long term Google watchers are of the opinion that search giant is trying to emerge as a front line smart-phone manufacturer in the next few years and is just testing the waters. Google also faced some supply issues with Google Nexus 4 as LG, its OEM partner failed to keep up with the demand of the handset. It took a very long time when the handset was actually available on Google Play instead of the other way round.

In the meantime reports suggest that Google X Phone will be the first child of Google and Motorola union. “Allegedly, this is going to be the first Motorola lineup on which Google is going to have a direct influence,” says GSM Arena. Some Motorola insiders have reportedly leaked these bits of information to the online media. It is also said that Motorola will be ready to deliver customized devices to its customers in future. Users can place their order with a list of specs, wall papers, themes, software update and apps that they want preinstalled on the device. But, this rumor doesn’t make much sense, of course.

There are more reports doing the rounds. It is also being said that the new X phone lineup will be available for grabs on Google Play, the official web store of Android. As of now, only Google Nexus devices are available on Google Play. It means that the new Motorola phones will be exclusive devices of Google and they will be succeeding that the Nexus devices of market today. Interestingly, as we have learned from rumors, the first phone of the X series, probably the Nexus 5, is to be officially launched at Google I/O conference in June. Can you see how an Android phone line from Motorola impact Samsung’s Galaxy line? Indeed, it is a bit critical for the South Korean tech maker, which has been in the frontline of Android phone and tablet making for a while. We received the first Samsung Galaxy S phone in 2010 in fight against Apple iPhone. Since then, the series has been the premium Android phone, fighting off various iPhone versions over several years. But so far nothing is clear and Google will have to work really to make its smart-phone plans a true success.
