Moto Body Hits Google Play, Moto X Play with 21MP rear camera best under Rs20k handset
Smartphone major Motorola has come out with its top of the line new smartphone Moto X Play. The handset was showcased to the waiting media and smartphone fans at an event in New Delhi yesterday. The handset comes in two versions including Moto X Play and the Moto X Style. Moto X Style will come with a massive 5.7 inch Quad-HD display.
Given its exceptional specifications and features, the latest offer from the smartphone maker seems to be destined to great success in the coming days. Moto X Play has been priced at Rs 18,499 for the 16GB variant and Rs 19,999 for the 32GB variant. Both the versions will go on sale later today. Moto X Play fans are expected to get some good offer from both Flipkart and Motorola.
Moto X Play is slightly smaller than the Moto X Style. There is no denying the fact that the handset is easy to hold thanks to thin bezel in the sides, but one handed use is not comfortable thanks to the 5.5inch display. The rear textured cover feels nice in the hand and gives a good grip.
When it comes to display, the handset looks exceptional. Equipped with 5.5-inch full HD display it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. Given the fact that it comes with thin bezels the Moto X Play has a respectable body to screen ratio.
When it comes to innards too the handset looks great. The Moto X Play comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with an octa core processor with one quad core cluster clocked at 1.7GHz and the other quad core cluster clocked at 1GHz, along with Adreno 405 GPU. Given the fact that the handset comes with 2GB RAM, it has more power than actually needed in a smartphone.
As stated earlier the Moto X Play comes in two storage variants, 16GB and 32GB. Both variants give you the option to expand the storage using a microSD card slot to upto 128GB.
There is no denying the fact that camera has become among the most important aspects of our smartphones. When it comes to the rear camera, the handset comes with 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. The camera user interface is not very different from Moto G, but the camera comes with phase detect AF helping you quickly acquire focus. We couldn’t test that in the dimly lit demo zone. The rear camera has an f/2.0 aperture and can shoot up to full HD videos.
