Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date this year as battery problem of Surface Pro 4 solved: Latest update
Redmond: Microsoft will positively be coming out with the next version of its extremely popular Surface Pro 4 tablet. Despite being extremely very pricey, the tablet that can beat the best of the best laptops in terms of specifications is increasingly becoming popular and breaking all the records of popularity.
Tech analysts are unanimous that it is the most serious challenge that Apple iPads have faced since the beginning of the tablet era a few years ago. Given its extremely high specifications and great operating system in the form of Windows 10, the tablet is becoming very popular among enterprises.
The Redmond based tech giant is expected to further improve the tablet when it launches the new version later this year. It is expected that the Surface Pro 5 will have better battery life. Several Pro 4 users have complained about the weak battery life of this high-end tablet, including poster Angry_Mut on Reddit.
The tech giant recently launched a firmware update for the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. The company said that it takes care of the power issues.
But many people are still feel that the issue is alive and not fully taken care off. A user says, “The battery life on my seems pretty horrendous, I recently run a test were I streamed a 8hrs 1080p video of a fire burning, to see how long my surface would last. My sp4 managed a pathetic 3:26 before dying which seems a fair bit lower than what I should be getting” Several other users also agreed with the man who started the thread. A bug which was making the battery life of the Surface Pro 4 worse was the fact that when the tablet was put into Sleep Mode, the battery depleted. Windows Central first highlighted this issue on October 29, less than two week after the release of the Surface Pro 4. But Ars Technica recently reported that the tech giant has fixed that issue.
Nonetheless others believe that the firmware update is going to take care of the issue. They also insist that the issue is very minor and the tab still gives good battery time despite coming with top of the line specs. It must be kept in mind that Microsoft has released a firmware update to the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book that, at long last, fixes significant power management and sleep bugs that saw Microsoft’s latest systems draining their batteries and getting extremely hot when they should have been in ultra low power mode.
In the meantime some twitter users also said the Sleep Mode problem has been fixed. But all the battery life problems are still not alleviated. Speculations are rife that Microsoft will make the Surface Pro 5 slightly bigger in order to allow a slightly larger battery.
