There are reasons to believe that the Redmond based tech giant Microsoft is preparing to come out with its next generation tablet and laptop Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 respectively. The two products’ current iterations have been roaring success thus far and there are reasons to believe that the next generation of the two products will be even bigger success.
Rumors are doing the rounds that the software/ hardware giant is all set to refresh its Surface Pro and Surface Book line-up in 2016. Prevailing speculations suggest the company will come up with the overhauled versions of the above mentioned devices by the fourth quarter of 2016.
If reports doing the rounds across the web are to be believed, the Surface Pro 5 will feature a rechargeable stylus pen. A U.S. patent shows that the company is developing a rechargeable Surface Dock and Surface Pen. The Surface Book features a 13.5-inch PixelSense screen with 3000 x 2000 pixels resolution. It also boasts of a ten-hour battery life on a single charge, while running on Windows 10 Pro.
The rumors of the next generation tablet’s arrival seem a bit more credible given the fact that these come with sudden discount on Surface Pro 4. The top tab is available on Amazon with a surprising discount.
A report goes on to add “Surface Pro 4 prices have dropped big in a new Amazon sale. The promotion offers up to $200 in savings for all tiers of Microsoft’s tablet models”. The same report goes on to add that the biggest discounts come from the more expensive models. The Surface Pro 4 model with 512GB storage, 16GB RAM, and Intel Core i7 processor has been reduced from $2199 to $2000. The version with 256GB storage, 8GB RAM, and Intel Core i7 processor has been reduced from $1599 to $1439.
