Microsoft CEO Nadella in India, company announces Surface Pro 4 India launch in January

Finally the news is out. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is all set to be launched in the Indian market after almost two months from now. The software giant has said that the best tablet in the market, Surface pro 4, will be introduced in the Indian market in January 2016.

Though the date is not announced as yet, it is a sign of relief for Surface Pro fans that finally the tablet will be coming in the Indian market. They still feel disappointed that the Indian market is being ignored by top tech companies despite lots of potential. Even smaller markets in Europe get similar launch of the products. Even if there are delays, the products are launched a week or a fortnight later.

There is no denying the fact that it is among the best tablets available in the market at the moment. Enterprises are very excited about it. The same is true about Microsoft fans who believe that nothing works better than a Windows device. Almost everyone is full of praise for Microsoft’s most recent launch, Surface Pro 4. Every reviewer is praising it as if the tablet was the best thing to have happened. There is no denying the fact that enterprises are going to fall for it and Microsoft is hoping that individual users too develop a liking for it in the coming days.

It was something that forced enterprises to go for it and now the newest version is going to be even bigger success. It is a complete and very powerful laptop or say ultrabook in the form of a tablet. There is no denying the fact that the machine is simply rendered into a laptop with the help of a keyboard cover and kickstand that also come along with the glitzy tablet. So while it can be a tablet while on the move, in the confines of your home or office it is as good as a laptop.

Analysts believe that the best thing about the new tablet is the fact that it retains the best of the Pro 3 and then adds a whole lot of improvements in the machine. The newest version of the Surface Pro comes with a bit larger and also higher-resolution screen. Though the tab actually has the same 3:2 aspect ratio of Surface pro 3, it bumps up to 12.3 inches with a 2736×1824 resolution. The port layout and wireless capabilities are identical—you still get one full-size USB 3.0 port, an SD card slot, a Mini DisplayPort, and the port for the Type Cover, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and 866Mbps 802.11ac.

Then there are other improvements too. Another major change is the fact that the ubiquitous and rather capacitive Windows button is nowhere to be seen in the new version. Redmond based company claims that Surface Pro’s latest version is blazing fast. There is no denying the fact that both the products seem impressive. Surface Pro 4 comes with 12.3-inch display which supports a resolution of 2736×1824 pixels, which results in a pixel density of 267ppi, and for protection against scratches, it uses a layer of 0.4mm of Gorilla Glass. One improvement is the fact that Microsoft has developed a special Touch Chipset and the tablet has also a stylus and it can be connected to a physical keyboard.

The tablet also performs better than other machines. Surface Pro 4 beats MacBook Air comprehensively. Surface Pro 4 actually comes loaded with 6th Gen Intel Core M3, i5, or i7 (Skylake) processors which are paired with Intel HD graphics 515, 520 or 540, and 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of RAM. There are four variants of internal memories (SSD), and their capacities are128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB. On the other hand the MacBook Air is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 (whose speed can be increased up to 2.7GHz), and it’s configurable to 2.2GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 (which can run up to 3.2GHz). The processor is paired with an Intel HD Graphics 6000 processor and it supports 4GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3. The storage options are 128GB or 256GB PCIe-based SSD and there’s an optional 512GB upgrade.
