Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs. Apple iPad Pro: How MS came up with such a masterpiece
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs Apple Pro comparison continues weeks after the launch of the two devices. Both the tablets are the best that the market has on offer and both outperform other tablets by miles.
There is no denying the fact that the two tablets actually outperform some powerful laptops. Like almost all the reviews, a review in the TechRadar is all praise for Surface Pro 4. “Has Microsoft at last crafted a tablet that can reasonably, without considerable compromise, replace your laptop? Short of going back to the drawing board on the battery, this looks as close as it’s going to get,†the review says.
There is no denying the fact that the TechRadar is no exception when it comes to praising the best tablet that the market has seen. While writing for the latest Microsoft baby, Digital Trends says, “The Surface Pro 4 is a microcosm of the change Microsoft is trying to spur inside its own walls. Time and time again, it missed the opportunity to leap on a new trend in consumer technology. But not with Surface. This time, Microsoft is a leader. It’s setting the trend. And unlike its new competitors, it’s had a few years to work out the kinks.â€
According to Mac Rumors, “The new MacBook Air is said to take on a slimmer design…[It] will be enabled by ‘fully redesigned’ internal components across the board, and Apple is reportedly currently working with its suppliers to develop these new components.”
When it comes to specifications and features, the 13-inch MacBook Air features a screen with 1,440 x 1900 pixel resolution, an innovation five years ago, but not now. The 12.3-inch Surface Pro 4 is ahead of the competition with 2,736 x 1,824 screen pixel resolution. Even the 13.5-inch Surface Book has 3,000 x 2,000 pixel resolution screen. As per IGN, the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book are also better in overall performance. In a Tech Radar review, which presented the Surface Book four-and-a-half stars, the Surface Book’s greatest strength was described as being “an all-around terrific device.”
Other things about it are equally good. It’s bigger storage option of 128GB to 1TB and a 4GB RAM upgradable to 16GB certainly gives it an edge as compared to the current MacBook Air, which has only 128GB or 256GB memory and 4GB RAM. The good news for Mac fans is that there isn’t an official announcement on the 2016 MacBook Air yet, which means possible improvements could still be made that could prevail over the Microsoft Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4.
