Microsoft Surface Book sold out on Microsoft online store: Redmond company has another killer product

Microsoft Surface Book seems to be on its way to be a bigger success than anyone had anticipated on the day of its launch. Though everyone was full of praise for this little, but extremely powerful laptop, no one thought that people will go for it in such a huge number.

It is the first laptop from Microsoft and the Surface Book was showcased to the world on October 6. During the launch event, the Redmond based tech giant not just showcased this little laptop, but its most recent and the best tablet Surface Pro 4, two high-end Lumia handsets and the second generation band or Band 2.0.

There is no denying the fact that all the products that the Redmond based tech giant showcased during its event have been praised by the tech analysts across the world, besides of course the common tech mavens.

microsoft surface-bookThere is no denying the fact that no one actually thought that Microsoft will launch a laptop of its own. This is a hybrid laptop Microsoft calls the Surface Book. Equipped with a detachable 13.5-inch display packed with 6 million pixels, the Surface Book is an intriguing product both from a hardware and design perspective.

There is no denying the fact that Surface Book from Microsoft looks very expensive. But no one is complaining as it comes packed with exceptional specifications and features. Starting at $1,499, consumers seem to be really excited about Microsoft’s first foray into the world of laptops.

Latest reports suggest that every single version of the Surface Book on Microsoft’s online store is now sold out. Needless to say, it appears that Microsoft may very well have a hit on its hands. Microsoft seems to have thrown a tough challenge at laptop makers with this top of the line product. This is very well endowed and a buyer can opt for a 6th-gen Intel Core i5 or i7 chip, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of PCIe 3.0 SSD storage – so this beast is screaming fast.

This is a great hybrid too and you will never have to think of another product. It display can be detached completely from the base with the press of a button (even the tech behind this mechanism has a fancy name: one-button Muscle Wire detach mechanism), why would you want to use it folded backwards? For the simple reason that the keyboard base can include a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GPU with 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM. In other words, if you need better graphics performance, you’re better off using the Surface Book docked. Else, in tablet mode, it falls back to the Intel HD 520 graphics.

It is needless to say that everyone is full of praise about it. a reviewer says, “Microsoft calls the new Surface Book two-in-one the “ultimate laptop.” As a 2-in-1, it’s more than that. Undocked, the Surface Book is a massive 13.5-inch 3K tablet. Dock it to its base and it becomes a notebook capable of gaming, complete with its own discrete Nvidia GPU. And it’s twice as powerful as the MacBook Pro…All told, the Surface Book reminds me of the Chromebook Pixel: the premier example of what its ecosystem can achieve. Surface Book will command a premium price, as well: $1,499 for the base Core i5 model, $1,899 for the core i5 model with the discrete GPU, and $2699 for a full-boat Core i7 model with discrete GPU. Preorders are already underway, and Microsoft promises you’ll have it by Oct. 26”.
