Microsoft ‘breakthrough’ Surface Phone to be reality after Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 become massive success

Windows Phones are being planned to be brought back in a new packaging. This is an impression that one gets from Microsoft’s recent assertions. There is no denying the fact that the Redmond based tech giant is making spirited efforts to come out with a handset that is truly competitive compared to Apple and top Android products.

One thing that is propelling the Redmond based tech giant to continue working on this aspect is none other than its own success in a related field. The Redmond based tech giant that has tested immense success with hardware in the last around one year is determined to achieve the same sort of success in the smartphone field as well.

Microsoft’s last generation tablet, namely Surface pro 3 was a huge success. The company sold this great tablet mainly to enterprises in millions. Its newest version Surface Pro 4 is much more improved than the last version and the whole world seems to be appreciating the tablet.

Microsoft doesn’t seem to be deterred by the failure of ‘Microsoft Lumia’, the brand that named after acquiring Nokia. Despite the success of the tablet and laptop from the company, the recently introduced handsets Lumia 950 and 950XL seem to have failed to strike a chord with smartphone users and the dwindling Windows Phone sales are expected to witness a further slide. Even International Data Corporation (IDC) has predicted that Windows Phone would do well to hold on to its negligible, less than 3 percent marketshare.

The impressive tablet and laptop’s success has made Microsoft stick with its smartphone plans. This seems to have given hope to Microsoft that a turnaround of sorts in a possibility. Analysts believe that it is just a matter of time before the Redmond giant unveils its premium offering – Surface Phone.
