It is making headlines all over the tech world. Here we discuss Seven most-exciting features of Microsoft Office 2013

The new Office 2013 suite has been available for public since Jan. 29. It is the newest version of Microsoft’s well-known Office productivity suite, which is known for helping people in both business and daily use. The new Office suite’s RTM (release to manufacture) version was launched on Oct. 11, 2012. For sure, Office 2013 is up with lots of interesting updates and capabilities. Here we make a trip through seven most excited features of MS Office 2013. Stick on with us for the points.

Cloud Integration
It is the most innovative thing with Office 2013. Cloud integration simply refers to the syncing capability of docs with SkyDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage service. Users can save docs in the cloud drive as it can be done in the local memory. As you hit ‘Save As,’ you will be directed to pick from SkyDrive or hard disk to save the doc. So, it is quite easier to save docs in the cloud directly from the Office applications.

Access from Anywhere
Since cloud integration is possible, it is easier to access saved Office docs from anywhere, anytime and any device. Yes, even if you work with a doc on your desktop, you will be able to access it from your Windows tablet or phone thanks to SkyDrive integration. Different from the previous versions of Office, you just work on Office ‘13 apps keeping your SkyDrive open. Top right of every screen will show your SkyDrive account details. It makes things much easier for users to access their content from anywhere in the world.

New Modern Interface
The new user interface called Modern (previously known as Metro) is another peculiar thing with the Office 2013. The design and look of new Office apps are nice and wonderful. They are minimalist and simple. The idea behind such a change seems that users won’t lose their attention to the multiple shades of colors and attractive designs that appeared in the former versions of MS Office.

Also, the new look of Office matches well with the interface of the new Windows software items like Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone. All versions show off the same squarish and simple Modern interface.

Tablet & Mobile Versions
For the first time, MS Office gets full-fledged tablet and phone versions. Windows RT, the tablet version of Windows 8 for ARM devices and Windows Phone will feature special variants of the package for letting users enjoy the apps on every possible device out there. So you can now edit and compose docs on your Windows tablets and phones alike.

Start Screens
Every app in the Office 2013 suite – namely MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, Outlook and others – have exclusive start screens with diverse colors. It is like blue start screen for Word, green for Excel, orange for PowerPoint and more. The start screen also shows a list of recent documents, a default blank screen, take a tour screen and more.

PDF Editing
Previous variants of Office extend support for PDFs. You could convert documents to PDFs, but not vice versa. But, the new Office 2013 comes with a feature to let you open PDFs in Word and edit them there. You can save the PDF edited files either as DocX or PDFs. Amazingly PDF doesn’t lose its structure and layout even if you open it in Word. It is indeed one of the key capabilities of MS Office 2013.

Touchscreen Enabled
The entire Windows 8 and Windows RT are highly touchscreen enabled. So like is the new Microsoft Office 2013 suite. The package is specially designed to support touchscreen inputs. You can manage docs and do most of your activities with various Office apps via touchscreen commands. This is how this version of Office becomes highly suitable for machines with Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone.
