Microsoft Band 2 and its curved display: know its other expected features
Microsoft Band 2 is making headlines across the tech world. Redmond based tech giant is all set to come out with the next generation Microsoft Band. Though the software giant hasn’t spoken a word about the eventual launch of the new band, there are indications that the company will showcase it during its forthcoming event on October 6 along with Microsoft Pro 4.
There is no denying the fact that there is high level of expectations among Microsoft fans for the next generation band. A report published in Spanish tech site MicrosoftInsider came out with several images that the tech blog said were actually leaked images of new band Microsoft Band 2.
Images published on the tech blog tech site MicrosoftInsider show that the next generation band will be coming out with a curved display. Experts suggest that when it comes to wearable devices curved display will ensure that the band better conforms to the user’s wrist.
This is not everything that the tech blog could say about the Microsoft Band 2. As far as design of the Microsoft Band 2 is concerned, there are rumors doing the rounds that Microsoft has decided to stick mostly to the original Band’s design, with one major difference, the curved display. In the meantime some of the images that have appeared on one Spanish language tech blog suggest that it is coming with metallic finish around the display, possibly to give the device a more premium look. Some other reports claim that the software giant is adding a couple of buttons on the side of the display to help users navigate the device’s elongated display more easily.
Nonetheless having a curved display or not, what is important for Microsoft fans is its pricing. If the pricing is right, the band will get good response, otherwise people may not go for it in large numbers. The original Band launched at $199, a fairly steep price compared to other devices offering the same functionality. Will Microsoft price its new band higher?
