Micromax Canvas HD and Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 come with great specs and are among the most talked about smartphones in India right now. Not many people are talking about much more endowed handset like HTC Butterfly or DNA Droid as it is known in the US and comes for an astronomical sum of Rs 45000 in India. Though HTC Butterfly comes with top specs, its astronomical pricing may make it a dream and out of reach for average Indians.

On the other hand, Micromax Canvas HD and Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 are very affordable as Micromax Canvas HD comes for sub Rs 15000 price range and Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 comes with a price range less than Rs 11000. Besides both come with very good specifications and their low pricing and good features make them very enticing for any average Indian. In India where an average youth begins his career at miniscule salary of Rs 10000-15000 per month, it is absurd to think that there will be takers for handset that are priced around Rs 40000 to Rs 50000.

So Micromax Canvas HD and Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 and other handsets that come with reasonably good specifications have really good features. With the demand for smart-phone increasing fast, the handsets and respective companies are going to get bigger and bigger in the days to come. These handsets come with very good specifications and provide people with many options. The best thing about these handsets is the fact that they come with very reasonable specifications, but cost just a pittance when compared to very expensive iPhones or Galaxy S3s. Micromax seems to have got the pulse of Indian middle class that wants great handsets in reasonable price range. The company has introduced several top quality handsets that have been sold in hundreds of thousands. Though class conscious people still try to go for handsets from world leaders including Samsung and Apple, others who don’t feel very strongly about brand fall for its handsets that are always reasonably priced.

Karbonn is also emerging as a reliable company that produces good smart-phones with very affordable prices. The company seems to have thrown very tough challenge before Micromax by launching a quadcore handset for price of just around Rs 10000, less than $200 price range. Karbonn’s Smart Titanium that comes with 4.5 inch display compares to 5 inch display of Micromax Canvas HD that comes in slightly higher price range of around Rs 15000 or less than $300.

Both handsets come with reasonably good display, but Micromax Canvas HD seems to be a clear winner as it possesses very enticing screen. It comes with high definition 5 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. Compared to it Karbonn handset comes with very impressive 4.5 inch screen size with 960 x 540 resolution. As far as display is concerned slightly highly priced Micromax Canvas HD seems to be a clear winner.

Both the handsets are power packed. Micromax A116 comes with reasonably powerful MediaTek MT6589 processor, which the Micromax boasts is the world’s first commercially viable quad-core Cortex-A7 SoC. It has four Cortex-A7 cores, clocking in at 1.2GHz, and uses a PowerVR Series 5XT GPU. Micromax says that this powers the handset so efficiently that users are able to use all the functions of the handsets including full HD content, 8 mega pixel camera. On the other hand Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 comes with Qualcomm S4 Play MSM8225Q quad-core processor that clocked at 1.2GHz. It comes loaded with Adreno 203 GPU. Though it doesn’t really support full HD display or HD video recording, it allows users to use all the functions quite well. There are people who say that it doesn’t support 13 mega pixel camera, but to support a 13 mega pixel camera one handset needs to actually have it. Both the handsets come with 1 GB RAM.

As far as camera of the two smart-phones is concerned, Micromax Canvas HD enjoys clear edge over its competitors as it comes with an impressive 8 mega pixel camera. Compared to it Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 comes with just 5 mega pixel camera. But to be true, for a price of around Rs 10000, an 8 mega pixel camera with such high specs are almost impossible to produce. As far as front camera is concerned Micromax Canvas HD has 0.3 megapixel camera while Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 a VGA camera. So both the handsets are good, but given price difference, Micromax could manage to put better specs under the hood of its canvass HD while Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 is a real value for money handset. Both the handsets are getting good reviews from the analysts and are set to sell really well in the days to come.
