This is going to be the best handset from the top Indian smartphone company. Micromax Canvas 4 pre-order begins with Rs 5k, final price to be around Rs 22K

Micromax’s forthcoming handset Canvas 4 is now almost there. The Indian smartphone major has launched the pre-order for its handset and there are indications that the handset will be a lot costlier than previously anticipated.

This is because of the fact that the company is charging Rs 5000 as pre-order booking amount and without actually telling the price upfront it has said that the company will provide EMI option for the rest of the payment. To be true, this is the first time that Micromax has actually offered any EMI solution to its customers in India and this more than telling that the company is actually launching a pricey product in the Indian market.

The Canvas 4 is going to be the best handset launched by the Indian startup so far. The handset is coming with the best specifications and great features and will the first real premium handset from the company that will come with truly top class smartphone qualities. Micromax is positioning the handset as if it is a direct competitor of Korean tech giant Samsung’s Galaxy S4.

The company has launched several teasers of the forthcoming handsets on several forums including Youtube and is creating excitement among the general public. There is no doubt that Micromax has learnt the art of keeping people waiting for its product. It seems to have learnt it from none other than Cupertino, United States based Apple that doesn’t really showcases its products before launch and keeps everything hidden from people except some selective leaks. Though some blogs have published pictures of Micromax Canvas 4, but we cannot be really sure if the the handset that will be finally launched by Micromax will be that same handset whose pics are being leaked right now or this is a different handset altogether. The alleged pics reveal a little more about the make of the phone. It’s display will sport a wide screen leaving very little space on the top side of the phone for the speakers and camera.

The company has clear policy about its EMI options as it seems to have watched other biggies take a plunge into it. “no EMI option is available on pre booking, however the balance amount payable can be paid in 3, 6, 9 & 12 equal EMI’s” says a company statement. As far as the specifications of the handset is concerned, the handset is expected to come with a full HD display and everything else that seems exceptionally well. A report while talking about a video tease says, “The first teaser gave us a look blink-and-you-miss look at the phone from all angles. The brief glimpse revealed a back panel with a brushed-aluminium look, but there’s no indication that this is indeed metal. The edges of the phone are chrome-plated, just like another recent flagship, we remember. Let’s hope this one is an actual metal trim. What is most exciting is that we catch a glimpse of a SIM tray on the right edge of the phone. Could Micromax have a unibody Canvas 4 ready for us”? we can just speculate about the handset and cannot definitely tell.

When it comes to specifications and features, the company seems to be in an uncompromising mood right now. The handset is expected to come with everything exceptionally well for a handset in the Rs 20000 price range. A Times of India report suggest that the Micromax 4 will come with octa-core processor, 13 MP camera besides FullHD display quality. For a sub Rs 20K price tag, the handset will become an instant hit in the market. Are we really heading towards a new phase of smartphones in India?
