Michael Bloomberg for President 2016: What is Michael Bloomberg net worth
Donald Trump may not be the only billionaire hoping to be the President of United States. While for the last six months Donald Trump is hogging limelight for one reason or the other and then leading the Republican pack for the top job, it seems to be the right time for the entry of another wealthy businessman who has held the office of mayor of one of the biggest cities in the US.
Michael Bloomberg who is the CEO of Bloomberg L.P. and the ex New York City Mayor has reportedly made his mind to run for White House. If reports are to be believed he and his elaborate team seem to be drawing up plans for an independent run for president.
It must be admitted that Bloomberg was a great mayor for the NYC. He served as New York mayor from 2002 to 2013. His website while describing his stint as the mayor says, “During his tenure as mayor, from 2002 through 2013, Bloomberg brought his innovation-driven approach to city government. He turned around a broken public school system by raising standards and holding schools accountable for success. He spurred economic growth and record levels of job creation by revitalizing old industrial areas, spurring entrepreneurship, supporting small businesses, and strengthening key industries, including new media, film and television, bio-science, technology, and tourism. Mayor Bloomberg’s economic policies helped New York City experience record-levels of private-sector job growth often in formerly depressed neighborhoods, even in the wake of the deep national recessionâ€.
A report in the New York Times says that Bloomberg’s advisers claim that the billionaire is actually annoyed by Donald Trump’s lead and troubled by the rise of Bernie Sanders. The New York Times also reported that according to his associates, Bloomberg believes Hillary Clinton has made missteps in the race and has moved too far to the left. Forbes magazine ranks him as the 14th richest person on the planet, with a total net worth of $35.5 billion.
