Men are more narcissistic than women, irrespective of age difference: Study

Who are more narcissistic? Do men beat women when it comes to narcissism or vice versa? I am sure many men will claim that women have far more narcissistic tendencies compared to men, but they are simply wrong.

A study that analyzed massive amount of data involving more than half a million people in a large part of the world spanning three decades, claims that it is men who leave women far behind when it comes to showing narcissistic tendencies.

And the most amazing aspect of the finding is the fact that men beat women irrespective of age, region or religion.

MMA: UFC 179-Aldo vs MendezResearchers analyzed data of some 355 previously published studies. These studies analyzed data of as many as half a million people. And researchers concluded that irrespective of age or region, men beat women hands down.

While talking about the latest findings Keith Campbell, a professor of psychology at the University of Georgia was quoted by CBS News as saying, “Generally you see men as a little more external in how they interact with the world. Women tend to be a little more interpersonal. That’s consistent with narcissism… In this study what they’re talking about is grandiose narcissism, an inflated view of yourself as being special and important”.

Researchers are very excited about the findings of the study. The lead author of the report Emily Grijalva, a professor at the University of Buffalo says, “Narcissism is associated with various interpersonal dysfunctions, including an inability to maintain healthy long-term relationships, unethical behavior and aggression”.
