LG Optimus G Pro or G2 rumors are spreading fast. Besides its rumored specs, images too have been leaked to media and

LG Optimus G is a nice handset. It has been fighting the likes of Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X in global markets for a while. LG is now obviously working on an upgraded version for the handset. Rumored to be called the Optimus G Pro, the phone will mark LG’s foray into the new FullHD flurry. Various sources have leaked the specs and images of the projected Optimus G Pro. In fact, for a long time, there has been the rumor that the Korean tech firm would release a revamped Optimus G with a 1080p display and more powerful quad core processor.

LG Optimus G Pro Rumored Specs
The new LG Android handset is suggested to come up with a 5-inch 1080p unspecified display. It will have a new quad core Krait CPU that will clock at 1.7GHz rather than its precursor’s 1.5GHz. Further, it will pack a bumped-up 3000mAh battery and an IR port like the Sony Xperia ZL. It looks that other features will be almost the same.

It will have a 13MP rear camera, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. The Optimus G Pro may have an awesome look as well. The leaked images show that it will have a slightly curved body with a chic look. The screen panel will cover the entire face of the phone, which is expected to measure 139 x 70 x 10mm and weigh at 160 grams.

LG Optimus G Pro Vs Optimus G
Put it simply, the key difference between the handsets will lay in display screen. It is a time the mobile market is getting lots of hot 1080p FHD handsets. We have already received powerful 1080p handsets from all key mobile vendors that include Sony, HTC, Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, Sharp, Oppo and more. The Android market leader Samsung is about to bring out its much-talked-about Galaxy S4 with an FHD panel as well.

Therefore, the new LG Optimus G Pro will represent the company in the 1080p mobile scuffle. Another key area of change is in the processor speed. The phone will come with a bumped-up 1.7GHz Krait processor that is essential as the device has a high resolution display. A heavy camera and beefy battery are other must-haves of a phablet with a 1080p screen. The LG phone will have both and so it can compete with all its alternatives with specs and features.

LG Optimus G2 or Optimus G Pro?
There is also a report spreading on web that the new LG phone will be named the Optimus G2. “Specs have appeared online for a new smartphone dubbed the LG Optimus Pro – but is this a new handset or just the Optimus G2 in disguise?,” asks Tech Radar. But, the leaked specs and images of both the G2 and G Plus show that they are same devices.

Quite likely, they will be the same device. Rumors will be referring to the same 1080p handset with two different names. There also lays a chance that LG might plan two names for the same handset to different markets. Anyway, the LG phone is largely expected for the Mobile World Congress 2013 release. It may be the major attraction of the event and LG will be sooner taking the handset to markets.

LG Optimus Pro Vs Galaxy S4
LG and Samsung have been archrivals for a long time. In mobile market, Samsung is now the leader. The company reigns over the entire mobile industry including both feature phone and smartphone segments. LG is just gaining momentum in mobile market with high-end devices like the Optimus G and Nexus 4. So, we can predict a more intense battle between the companies in the new FHD market. Both the Optimus G2 and Galaxy S4 might have almost the same specs and capacities. It will lead to a further intense war between the tech makers.
