Lenovo A5000 with 4000mAh battery @Rs10,250 is value for money in India
Lenovo seems to have become obsessed with smartphones. It is launching one new handset or a new version of an old handset almost every week and people are puzzled as to what it wants.
But Indian smartphone mavens are not complaining. In fact they are happy and pleased as all the handsets come with impeccable specifications and features and look great.
The latest offering to hit the Indian stores is none other than the companyâ€™s recently launched handset in Russia, namely Lenovo A5000 smartphone. The handset was showcased this past Thursday in Russia and is all set for launch in the United Arab Emirates.
Though the handset is not that great, nonetheless it comes with one aspect that will be eye grabbing. The handset will come with a huge 4000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 792 hours of standby time on 3G networks.
On the other hand the handset will not be a 4G handset. But it will supports Quick Charge feature that allows the battery to get fully charged in 3 hours while a 15-minute charge offers up to 4 hours of talk time.
When it comes to specifications and features the new Lenovo A5000 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 300ppi. The Chinese company also claims that the handset features rain and splash-proof screen protection.
As far as its processor is concerned, the handset comes with 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU. The Lenovo A5000 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash while there is a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera also on board. But the handset is bulky at 160 grams.
