Former Lakersâ€™ player Lamar Odomâ€™s health may not be improving with the speed many thought it was happening. Nonetheless he has some good news. The former NBA superstar is not going to be charged for possessing drugs as officials were claiming earlier.
Last week there were reports that authorities were contemplating to charge the basketball star with possessing drugs. He was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada and doctors feared that he may not survive.
Reports suggested that the disgruntled athlete had consumed large quantities of herbal Viagra besides banned drugs. It must be kept in mind that the herbal Viagra has been termed as very unsafe and rather dangerous by USFDA, nonetheless its use hasnâ€™t been banned altogether.
The report that the authorities will not prosecute has been leaked by the TMZ, earlier Nye County District Attorney Angela Bello said in a statement, “The Nye County Sheriff’s Office has asked the Nye County District Attorney’s Office to review a request for prosecution against Lamar Odom for Use of, or Under the Influence of, a Controlled Substanceâ€¦The DA’s office will take the time needed to appropriately review that request, along with all evidence that might support that request, in order to reach a just conclusion regarding whether to advance charges.”
