So there is another mammoth hit in the making. Krrish 3 vs Chennai Express 1st weekend box office collection war shows that Krrish 3 is going strong. Reports suggest that though it is not beating Chennai Express, but emerging as one of the highest grosser.

Krrish 3 is set to be a mammoth hit at the box office in India. The way its collection has continued to keep momentum with the day one box office collection seems to indicate towards the fact that Hritik Roshan’s latest sci-fi film is set to become among the biggest hits in India. Though Indian films are no match as far as Hollywood blockbusters are concerned, as average Hollywood films make as much as a whole top performing Bollywood films in a single day, but things are improving fast and Bollywood films are increasingly breaking records to do better and better.

Now not just Indian filmmakers are spending huge amounts of money on making films, they are also being rewarded richly by the market and film enthusiasts who don’t shy away from spending as much a Rs 500 or even more on a single movie ticket. This is the reason that film collection is increasing pretty fast and now every record is not too huge to be broke. This is the reason that Chennai Express became biggest grosser beating 3 Idiots merely three months ago and now everyone is dreaming that this record too is broke.

Many people were expecting Hritik Roshan’s film Krrish 3 to break Chennai Express record, but it doesn’t seem to be doing that well to break Chennai Express box office collection record, though it is doing pretty well.  Krrish 3 is fast emerging as one of the top box office successes in the country. Its box office collection is going up and up  and is closely behind the highest grossing film in the Indian film industry namely Chennai Express of King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Its first weekend collection was as high as Rs 72 crore and there are chances that its collection over the week days will not go down substantially as is the case with most movies in the industry.

Krrish 3 that comes after a couple of huge flops in the market including Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara and Boss besides of course Besharam has improved the confidence of the market. Made with a huge budget of around Rs 125 crore the film needs to run in packed houses not just till the end of the week, but also into the next week to make any money on such huge investment. Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express had crossed Rs 100 crore box office collection in the three day weekend on Eid Al Fitr or Badi Eid earlier this year. Its national box office collection was more than Rs 250 crore while its international collection was Rs 200 crore with highest share coming from United States.

With initial indications of it becoming a great box office hit everyone is praising it. The top industry analyst in Bollywood Taran Adarsh in a tweet said, “#Krrish3 collects Rs 72.8 cr nett in its opening weekend: Fri 25.5 cr, Sat 23 cr, Sun 24.3 cr Inclusive of Hindi + Tamil + Telugu” and went on to add “”#Krrish3 has opened to packed houses everywhere. Monday biz will be HUMUNGOUS.” The sci-fi movie of Hritik Roshan is getting huge response among kids and youths. If there is one thing that is common among all the superheroes of the world, it is there unending fight against the evil. Treading the same path of goodness, our very own desi superhero Krrish is on a mission to save the world from the clutches of evil.
