Kanye West vs Taylor Swift latest update: Is Kanye tweet an apology?

Many moons ago Kanye West made Taylor Swift spend hours weeping and wailing. The country music singer Taylor Swift who has gone on to become one of the biggest successes in country music, attacked Kanye West during her recent Grammy Awards 2016 performance asking women not to be intimidated by men like Kanye West.

Kanye West is slammed every year, especially at the time of Grammy Awards when people remember what he did to a very young girl of just 19 years.

During the Grammy Awards 2009 her video for “You Belong With Me” beat out Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” for Best Female Video, and she went to the stage to accept the award.kim-kardashian-kanye-west-romantic-stroll-in-nyc

When a beaming Swift was accepting the award, Kanye West all in a sudden jumped onstage, grabbed the mic, and said, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”

This must be among the most foolish moments of West’s career. He was booed, and celebrities quickly rallied behind Swift, including the President of the United States himself (“He’s a jackass,” Obama shrugged) and Beyoncé herself, who invited Swift onstage with her when accepting her Video of the Year award later that night.

Now he seems to be regretting what he did. In a tweet he said, “My number one enemy has been my ego… there is only one thrown and that’s God’s …” Though he didn’t specify exactly what he’d been wrong about but a good guess would be the lyric from his new song Famous in which he claimed he catapulted Taylor Swift to stardom by crashing her 2009 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.

Though Swift hadn’t mentioned Kanye West’s name, but what she said left no one in doubt that she was referring to West. “As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame…But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world” said she.
