JNMC Prof presents paper in Bangkok Conference
Aligarh: Professor Sangeeta Singhal, Department of Physiology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, recently presented a paper entitled â€œEarly Clinical Exposure in Medical Students during Pre Clinical Phaseâ€ at the International Congress of â€˜Federation of Asean and Ocenean Physiological Societyâ€™ (FAOPS) at Bangkok, Thailand.
In the paper presentation, Prof Singhal explained about a new teaching learning methodology of early clinical exposure. She emphasized the need for implementing this useful teaching tool in MBBS first year so that compartmentalization of pre- clinical and clinical subjects is minimized.
Prof Singhal had mentioned in her paper that the implementation of this method will help in the competency based education in medical colleges, recommended by the MCI in VISION 2015.
She also said that the new teaching learning methodology will help the future doctors to be more competent in knowledge, skills and attitude to serve the society with more confidence.
Prof Singhal is a MBBS from PMC, Ranchi University and MD (Physiology) from JNMC, AMU. She has presented papers in various National and International conferences and delivered guest lectures at national workshops. She has also been examiner in many universities across the country.
