JNMC Assistant Prof Presents paper in â€˜World TB Summit-2015,â€™ London
Aligarh, 17: To throw light on newer perspective immunological mechanism of MDR TB, Aligarh Muslim Universityâ€™s Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Assistant Professor, Dr Nazish Fatima recently presented a paper on â€œRole of TNF-Î±, IFN-Î³, IL-12p70, IL-4 and IL-1Î² as early treatment response biomarkers for the detection of MDR-TBâ€ at the â€˜World TB Summit-2015â€™ held at O2 Arena in London, U K.
A part of an ongoing project being funded by UP-CST, Lucknow, Dr Fatimaâ€™s paper will lead to establishment of surrogates for immunity in TB vaccine studies. Her study is aimed to enhance vaccine trail design.
The â€˜World TB Summit-2015â€™ provided researchers and academicians working on TB a platform to present their work.
Various key issues on new therapeutic and preventive aspects of TB were discussed in the Summit. Eminent TB physicians, Immunologist and Researchers from various countries participated in the event.\\\\
