Iran, US foreign ministers resume talks in fifth day of extended deadline

Vienna: Iranian foreign minister and his American counterpart resumed their talks here on Sunday in the fifth day of extended deadline.

Iran’s Mohammad Javad Zarif and US John Kerry started their negotiations on drafting the final nuclear deal.

Zarif deputies Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi were in talks with the European Union Foreign Policy deputy Helga Smidht for hours on Sunday.

In an interview with IRIB on Saturday night, Araqchi underlined that Iran has not had so much progress in the nuclear talks like this time.

‘We had not been so much forward during the past nuclear talks as this stage is the stage for entering writing the text (of the final agreement,’ Araqchi said.

He noted that the two sides have views and there is the possibility for agreement on them, adding, ‘Of course there are some problems that we are still working on them.’
