iPhone 6S, 6S Plus sale to begin on Sept. 25: Top 2 features that have just ornamental value
Finally, after months of speculations, two new iPhone handsets have been launched by the Cupertino based Apple. Apple that launched the handsets in glittering ceremony in San Francisco last night made claims that the handsets were much more improved compared to the two handsets that it had introduced last year.
There is no denying the fact that there was a sort of frenzy during the last couple of weeks as it became apparent that the manufacturer of the ‘best’ smartphones in the world was set to launch new editions of its wildly popular handsets.
The last iPhone versions of iPhone including iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been runaway hits in the market and latest reports suggest that the Cupertino based tech giant has sold more than 180 million units of the iPhone in less than a year. No other smartphone, from any other manufacturer can perform even half better than this.
But Apple fans are not really very amazed over the numbers. They know that since the company launched its iPhone, it has sold more units of each new iPhone than the previous model, and analysts believe the company will do it again with the 6S and 6S Plus.
The two handsets will be up for grab beginning September 25 and Apple has priced them at $199 and $299 for the 6S and 6S Plus if you go for two-year contract.
Nonetheless as the new version is not completely new version as it is only ‘S’ version of the old handset introduced last year, it may not create the same enthusiasm that was created by a completely new version of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.
The most important feature that Apple talked about the new version was its 3D Touch feature. There is no denying the fact the feature looks impressive. When you click an app, and hold your finger down, and you get a drop down menu offering various shortcuts that give you app features without having to open the app all the way. But does the feature changes anything substantial about the new iPhone from the older version.
Another feature that actually seems rather very attractive is higher resolution of the camera in the new versions. Apple has increased the rear camera to 12 megapixel from existing 8 megapixel. There is no denying the fact that it is four times the resolution of standard HD and looks impressive. But if you thought that an existing iPhone 6 or 6 Plus user will dump his or her phone to go for the new gizmo is simply too far-fetched. While some will certainly do it, most wouldn’t.
