This will be a heart warming news for the Apple fans. iPhone 5S specs rumors include double the screen resolution of iPhone 5

The new generation iPhone – whether it is iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 – is likely to feature two times better pixel density than its current model. Apple will make a radical change to the display of the next iPhone by doubling pixels nearly to 1.5 million, rumored the Chinese tech blog WeiPhone.com. Further, the device will have a slim bezel, even if it is not clear how Apple may realize this drastic change to the device.

It is sure that Apple must take such a move in order to make its phone competitive to lock horns with the high-end Android phones. Most of the new FullHD-based Android handsets, for example, Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z tout 1080p displays with a pixel density of over 440-ppi. A decision from Apple to double pixel density from the current 326-ppi to just about 489-ppi is crucial for the company.

“iPhone 5S (or iPhone 6) to have a more narrow screen frame, is now preparing, will ship in September. In addition, the product also has a screen 1.5 million pixels, compared to nearly 730,000 iPhone 5 the number of pixels,” says WeiPhone.com.

But the question is still significant that how Apple may bring it into reality as it may crop up many critical hurdles. Last year, when the company increased pixel density of iPhone 5, developers needed to tweak their products to support its new taller screen. As well, Apple brought similar changes to the pixel density of iPhone 4 in 2010 to integrate Retina display, causing developers angry.

Now, it will be tough for Apple to double up the pixel density of its smartphone without triggering anger in developers. So, it is interesting to see how the company may cop up with the difficulties with it. It is also not clear if Apple will expand the size of iPhone’s display this time also.

By the way, Apple fans are largely waiting for the next gen iPhone, which may not likely be surfaced at the forthcoming Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). The event may however bring out the next firmware update for the device that will only come in another occasion.
