India beats Pakistan in D/L method in 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Here are score and highlights of the match

Pakistan was simply outclassed by India in every field. The Indian team would have won the match easily even without D/L method as its openors had given a solid foundation to the side and Pakistani team had hardly scored 160 runs. The match never looked difficult and out of reach for India, while for Pakistan, they actually looked out of teh match from very beginning. To be true, throughout the tournament they looked out of form, and came on the field with very negative attitude.

Pakistani fans were simply very disappointed with their favorite team’s performance. Misbah-ul-Haq was booed when he comes to speak after the match. “Disappointing performance again with the bat, the weather also played a part, difficult to get in and out so many times. In this sort of format, it is too short for the teams because you have one bad day at the start of the tournament, you are almost out of it. I think the bowling did okay for us, the way they are establishing themselves, really a plus for Pakistan”, said a dejected Pakistani captain.”

India vs Pakistan 2013 ICC Champions Trophy cricket match has turned out to be a real dud so far with not much to keep people interested in India. Pakistani batting flopped once again and Indian bowlers were able to dominate the match throughout the Pakistani inning. They didn’t allow Pakistani batsmen to score freely. To be true, Pakistani batsmen have shown their lack of batting depth by the sort of performance they came out with.

Apart from the rain that continued to annoyingly come whenever the match seemed set to get going, it was lacklustre Pakistani batting that failed to keep people’s interest in it. Right now it seem the excitement that an India Pakistani match created in the past is not in the play as Pakistani batsmen gave in without much of a fight. Without a hard-fought match and without a fighting spirit a good Indo-Pakistani match is not going to excite cricket fans of both the nations.

Contrast Pakistani batting with Indian batting so far and you will find them more flamboyant and innovative than Pakistani batsmen these days. After being asked to bat first no Pakistani batsman was able to score even a fifty. The highest a batsman scored run was Asad Shafiq who scored 41 runs. To be true the whole Pakistani team, not just in this match but throughout the tournament has looked like a rudderless team without any batting depth and to be true, there is no Kenyan or Bangladeshi team in this tournament and only a few good bowlers cannot win you a game, more so when they have not enough to defend.
