Australia vs West Indies match didn’t begin well for the Caribbean’s. they lost one wicket very early in the game but since then seem to have progressed well. Both the teams are well balanced and so far the match has been very intense.

Charles’ wicket was lost early in the match when he had scored merely 10 runs and the scoring was rather slow. But even second loss of Samuels doesn’t seem to have stopped the flow of runs. Samuels who was very well set and was scoring fast lost his wicket at an individual score of 26 runs  in just 20 balls. His inning included two massive sixes and two fours.

His loss was a big blow to West Indies, but the run rate hasn’t come down so far as Chris Gayle has filled his place by taking on Australians very aggressively. He has scored 29 runs so far after facing merely 22 balls. So far he has hit three huge sixes and is relying on big shots instead of one or twos. He hasn’t even hit a four so far.

Bravo on the other hand seems to be giving good support to Chris Gayle and is playing slow. This is a rather good strategy to allow a player play good shots and give support to him. He has scored 12 runs in 17 balls so far. West Indies team has scored 89 runs for the loss of two wickets after 11.2 overs.

Earlier West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. Ian Chappell said that the pitch will hold much better than it did last night. He says it will still help spinners and quicks who bowl cutters, but the batsmen will enjoy it much more than they did last night. So this means that Aussies are going to be troubled by spinners once again. Pakistan had used its spinners very wisely against Aussies and West Indies too will use them sensibly tonight.
