Update: England win the toss, decides to field first
Will Dale Steyn be able to make a difference with his commanding presence in his side? He is the best fast bowler in his team right now and has the capability to destroy any team’s top batting line up with his destructive bowling.
His team’s performance has been far from impressive during the ongoing Champions Trophy and they have been just lucky to reach here. They have won only a single match thus far and that too not in an impressive manner. Their single win came against a struggling Pakistani side who had to unceremoniously leave the tournament after losing all their matches.
Before the beginning of the tournament Pakistani side was being said to be the team with highest chances of winning the tournament with their great bowling attack. But the team didn’t really give a decent total to the bowlers to defend.
But in recent months we have seen South African team struggling against quality bowlers. Their middle order that was among the best in the world fails to score whenever the top order flops and there is really no good finisher in the team.
On the other hand though the England cricket team is not really impressive and they too are simply underachievers we have seen that they have some great tailenders. Bopara has always performed well whenever his team needed him and in the last match he really came up with superb performance. Such performances from South African batsmen are not really expected. Any win for the team must come due to their top order and whenever they flop, the team cannot simply regroup and come out on top.
