HWF organizes Iftar Party for Rickshaw pullers and laborers

New Delhi: New Delhi: HWF a national NGO which is working to uplift weaker sections of the society educationally, economically and socially has also one of its programme to organise Iftar Party for rickshaw pullers and labourers. Under its vision 2016 programme , it organised a big Iftar Party for 550 rickshaw pullers and laborers of Okhla at Milli Model School.

Apart from inviting rickshaw pullers and laborers other aim is to give them some important message of peace and love for the community and the country and how to become responsible citizens.

HWF also distributed Kurta and Pajama  on this occasion to these rickshaw pullers and labourers so that they can wear new clothes on Eid and enjoy the festival as common people.

HWT reached an agreement  with manager of Indian Bank to open zero balance saving accounts for rikshaw pullers with minimum documents along with ATM facilities. And  one person got an ATM card by Branch Manager Saeed Mohammad on this occasion . Trust is also preparing a data base of the rikshaw pullers in the area with essential details so as to use the same for further interventions  like adult education ,health insurance, medical check up and micro loan facilities.

Besides this, HWF also distribute rickshaws to rickshaw pullers in collaboration with its affiliates NGO HWT. The rickshaw distribution programme is under self employment scheme and the purpose is to make the rickshaw pullers self dependent and by this way they are able to become self sufficient. Ml Abdus Salam Islahi  of Jammat e Islami Hind delivered his speech. On this occasion Convener of model village project  Habib Rahman , National coordinator of vision 2016  Salimullah Khan  and many respected persons of the area broke their Iftar with Riksaw Pullers.
