Well, it is a point of time mid-market and moderate smartphones are turning out with quad core chips onboard. Here comes HTC’s quad core powered mid-market Android phone, the HTC Desire 600. The handset has gone official with a lot of heart-baiting features including HTC’s Sense 5 UI and its award-winning HTC One capabilities such as BlinkFeed home screen and HTC BoomSound. At a glance, HTC Desire 600 is looking quite impressive with a pack of quality specs and other features.

The midrange HTC phone is designed to take full advantage of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Alongside a super fast quad core processor, smart display and nice multimedia features, the device is looking a typical medium Android phone. Beyond all, as HTC put it on its press release, advanced Video Highlights feature of the device realizes maximum creativity in a phone that is more affordable and easy-to-grab for daily use.

“People rely on their smartphones every day to be their news channel, email inbox, social network and music player,” said the HTC CEO Peter Chou, while uncovering this great piece of hardware. “The HTC Desire 600 dual SIM combines speed and easy multitasking with the truly innovative HTC BlinkFeed home screen,” he added. The outcome of such an innovation is an affordable device that is ideal for both work and play.

HTC Desire 600 – Specs in Detail
Of course, the new HTC smartphone is perfectly spec’ed for its price. What houses inside the handset is a quad core Snapdragon 200 chipset that is sheathed within a 1.2GHz four Cortex-A5 processor. In company of 1GB of RAM, Adreno 203 graphical processor and 8GB of internal memory, the device is something awe-inspiring for a midrange phone user. For neat battery life, the device packs a 1,860mAh battery as well.

Indeed, the Desire 600 is well-sized with its modest 4.5-inch LCD2 display that offers a qHD resolution. It is not a bigger or a smaller one, but is sized nearly perfect, and it is a size that can satisfy both the customers, who may prefer larger or smaller devices. Two BoomSound speakers are placed around the display and, of course, the device has Beats Audio support like all major HTC phones in the recent time.

Neat camera support also adds to the strength of the HTC Desire 600. It mounts a standard 8MP rear camera that can capture video at 720p in help of all essential camera features. The front camera goes at 1.6MP, meaning that users can make their video chatting a great experience with the device. Special camera features of the device, for example Video Highlights also give extra icing to the device. However, it is not as much capable as the HTC One’s Zoe in capturing video. The Zoe is missing here.

It supports dual SIMs. The handset has turned out with two SIM card slots that will work together, of course. Users can receive or make a call from a SIM, even while the other one is in use. Connectivity options of the Desire 600 include 3G with HSDPA, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS for a smooth experience to handle the handset for both work and play use.
