Himachal CM inaugurates Shoolini fair


    Solan (Himachal Pradesh): Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister inaugurated three-day long State-level Shoolini Fair in Solan today by receiving the palanquin of presiding deity of the area and lead ceremonial procession. Earlier he dedicated new Municipal Council parking complex, constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.30 crore and performed foundation stone laying ceremony of Palika Bazar under Self Financing Scheme, estimated to cost Rs. 78 lakh to the people of the town.
    Chief Minister greeted the people on traditional Shoolini Fair and wished them a happy and memorable celebration.
    New parking would facilitate parking of over 150 vehicles as more providing slots were being developed to add the parking strength in the town and 500 vehicles would be conveniently parked. The new Municipal Market would consist of 42 shops which would be allotted to “Rehriwalls” on Self Financing basis.
    A variety cultural programme presented by cultural troupes drawn from different parts of the country marks the inaugural occasion.
