Google Nexus 7 2 specs to be substantially improved, release date in I/O 2013

Almost all the reports coming out of the search giant suggest that Google Nexus 7 2 specs will be substantially improved. Its release date is expected in I/O 2013

There are rumors doing the round that search giant Google is all set to come out with new version of its top selling tablet Nexus 7. Reports suggest that Nexus 7 2nd generation is all set to be introduced in the Indian market during its I/O 2013 set to begin tomorrow. The event is also expected to showcase many other products including a new version of its very successful smartphone. Nexus 5’s launch is very close right now and despite the fact that Google is yet to make an announcement in this regard, the company will showcase it during the I/O 2013.

Google Nexus 7 is among the top selling 7 inch slates across the world. Despite coming with better specifications than Cupertino based Apple’s iPad Min, the tablet has been priced comparatively cheaper than its immediate competitor. And there are signs that the trick played a major part in making it one of the highest selling Android fans in the world.

Latest rumors suggest that the new tablet will come almost everything great. Major features rumored for the second generation Nexus 7 tablet are a 1080p display, Qualcomm’s S4 Pro chip and a fresh Android update, possibly Android 4.3. KGI Research’s Ming-Chi Kuo has brought up these forecasts. The analyst is of the view that the second Nexus 7 will be the star of the Google I/O 2013. “Kuo sees the distribution model being the same as 2012’s version, with Google selling the Nexus 7 through its website, while Asus and other retail outlets take care of higher-end iterations with more storage,” says Apple Insider referring to the KGI analyst. Indeed, the second gen Nexus tablet has been in rumors for a while as the Google’s rival to the projected Retina display-powered second version of Apple iPad Mini.

When it comes to the rmored next generation Nexus 7 tablet, the new Nexus tablet is to feature a 5MP rear camera and Texas Instruments’ Qi wireless charging option. And, in order to raise stiff challenge to Apple, Microsoft and Amazon, Google is also to introduce some content related apps in the device, which will include Android Book laptop, Google ‘over-the-top’ (OTT) TV box and a lot more. Whatever the next Nexus 7 is, it will have to face challenge from many tabs this year. When it was originally released, there was only Amazon Kindle Fire as a big threat to the Nexus 7. As of now, apart from the new Kindle Fire HD models, too many tablets like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 (N510), Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Asus Fonepad and many other machines are to rival the Nexus 7 series. Apple iPad mini is also to get a revamped version this year with a high-definition Retina display and a better processor.

    1. I understand this is parroting all the previous speculation It seems ridiculous to have posted this article 10 hours before the I/O, to have used a title and information in the article that reads as fact when you actually have no idea if it is true, which is all shown by the fact that the article is totally wrong. Google did not reveal a new Nexus 7 at the I/O and all the stuff you say will be on a second gen most likely will not anyway because the Nexus 7 is designed to be a great tablet at a really good price so people will use it as a portal to consume Google content. All that junk you say will be on it will negate the point of that tablet.
