Google Nexus 5 Vs Apple iPhone 5C are going to compete in the market in the days to come. While iPhone 5C is a solid product with great specs and features, it is not doing as well in the market as Apple’s better and more endowed handset iPhone 5S. There are reports that Apple has sharply cut its production estimates following its poor response in comparison to iPhone 5S. Nonetheless, even lower estimates for the handsets are still going to be in many million units and will certainly be a threat to other handsets in the market. The forthcoming Google’s Nexus 5 is going to be a perspective competitor for Cupertino based Apple’s lower end handset.

But to be true, search giant’s next generation handset is going to be several notches better than Apple’s iPhone 5C as it is going to come with better specifications and features. Nonetheless the interest in iPhone 5C will still be substantial due to its build quality and due to the fact that it comes from Apple.

When it comes to display quality of the two handsets, there is no doubt Nexus 5 will come with a far better display than Nexus 5. It will reportedly come up with a larger 5-inch FullHD screen of unknown tech, packing a staggering pixel density of 442-ppi thanks to 1080p. In place of it, the low-price iPhone 5C has a rather small 4-inch Retina LED-backlit IPS LCD display that packs a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels at 326-ppi. In case of display, there is nothing different with the 5C from its bigger brother, the iPhone 5S. But, in this comparison, with better size, resolution and PPI, Nexus 5 has a clear edge.

Search giant’s next generation handset will be power packed as it will come with great processor. Expected to become a top-end model, Nexus 5 is likely to get a high performance 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800-based quad core processor that will get additional support from 2GB of RAM. It is when the low-price iPhone is featuring a dual core 1.3GHz Swift ARMv7 based processor that slots in Apple’s A6 chipset. 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX 543MP3 chipset give extra boost for the phone. In terms of internal memory, at least 16GB will be there in the next generation Nexus 5. We are not sure if it will get a larger 32GB variant this time. Anyways, chance is naught that it will boast microSD slot, because Google doesn’t allow external memory in any Nexus device. Meanwhile, iPhone 5C is available in 16GB and 32GB models as it skips higher 64GB version of its premium model. It doesn’t also have a microSD slot to let you expand storage capacity through external memory sticks.

When it comes to operating systems, both the handsets will have very different OS. Nexus 5 will come with Android 4.4 KitKat while iPhone 5C has the most recent Apple mobile software update the iOS 7 out of the box alongside iPhone 5S. There is some disappointment in store if you were expecting a 13 MP camera in Nexus 5 as it is coming with merley 8 mega pixel camera. iPhone 5C on the other hand also comes with 8MP sensor. 5C has the same 8MP iSight camera of iPhone 5; there is nothing special with it. Google is yet to officially surface its new Nexus phone. Hopefully, we will get it sometime this month through a formal release event, but not sure about its date as of now. Once released, it will be up for grabs on Play Store, where you will get it for around $500. Meanwhile, Apple is busy bringing in its newer iPhones to all key markets. So far iPhone 5C is available in many markets for a price around $550. In China, where Apple expected a haven for the device, iPhone 5C hasn’t reportedly raised enough eyebrows at the release.
