OAKLAND, Calif. — Stephen Curry is the toast of the town. No he was not the best performer of the Game 5 NBA Finals 2015. There was another player who performed even better than him. But unsurprisingly not many people are talking about him. On the contrary Stephen Curry is being praised for changing the course of the NBA Finals 2015.

He was instrumental in the comeback win of the NBA Finals Game 4 too and now he is only a single win away to see his team win the trophy and celebrate in style. It is needless to say that without sealing the series with their fourth win, third in a row, the Golden State Warriors cannot be sure of the fact that Cleveland Cavaliers are out of the tournament. Many a times when it looked certain that a certain team was set to win the tourney, something or the other happens that changes the course completely. So till the time it happens, both the teams will remain on the edge.

While Curry may not be as good as LeBron James in the field, his influence in ensuring the success of his side was enormous. Curry made seven 3-pointers and scored 37 points, and the Warriors withstood another brilliant performance from LeBron James to outlast the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-91 on Sunday night for a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals.

nba 2015After winning the Game 5 NBA Finals 2015 a very excited Curry said, “It was a fun moment, but it will only mean something — and I’ll probably have a better [answer] for that question after we win that championship — but signature moments only come for players who are holding the trophy”.

After his mesmerizing performance in the crucial match, if Stephen Curry was exhausted, no one was amazed. Reports suggest that the MVP was actually seen rubbing his head and leaning over in a hallway after the game. The Golden State Warriors said Curry received drinking fluids in the locker room, was watching highlights and should be fine.

The game was very enticing and at one time it was looking like Stephen Curry vs LeBron James and not between Cleveland Cavaliers vs Golden State Warriors.

It is needless to say that Warriors have impressed the fans. Though many fans believe they could have won the finals had they played a bit better in the first few matches, but now they look on course. Now the Warriors will do their best to win their first title since 1975 on Tuesday night in Cleveland, which hasn’t won a major sports championship in 51 years. Game 7, if necessary, would be in Oakland on Friday night.
