Today you are going to witness a spectacle that not many have witnessed in their entire life. This is going to be the first full moon Christmas in 38 years and the next such full moon Christmas will happen in the year 2034.

This means if you miss the spectacle you will not be able to witness another such occasion in the next 19 years.

There is no denying the fact that full moon Christmas is extremely rare and sky lovers are not going to squander off the opportunity.

The good thing is the fact that the sky is expected to remain clear in much of North America including the United States and Canada and if you are interested to witness the moon in its full glory you will not be disappointed.blue moon

People are feeling excited. Nonetheless to watch full moon at its fullest you will have to be awake till early morning. A report by the Weather.com says that the full moon will peak at 4:11 a.m. Christmas day. In a blog post, Nasa’s Nancy Neal Jones, from the Goddard Space Flight Centre in Maryland said: ‘As you gaze up at the Christmas moon, take note that Nasa has a spacecraft currently orbiting Earth’s moon.’ Nasa’s John Keller added: ‘As we look at the moon on such an occasion, it’s worth remembering that the moon is more than just a celestial neighbour.
