It is approaching rather very fast as it is slated for 17 September 2013. Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Saul Alvarez fight date, time are all decided. Saul says he will beat Mayweather Jr

Merely seven days before the historic fight between the best pound for pound boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Saul Alvarez, the underdog is trying to create some real life in the otherwise perceived one-sided fight. Alvarez who cannot speak English has said, obviously through a translator- that Mayweather Jr is ‘running scared of me’.

This is a claim that everyone must be laughing at. Till now there is no analyst of any value who has said that Alvarez will be able to beat the best boxer of our time. They all are unanimous that Mayweather Jr despite being more than a decade older than Alvarez will be able to beat him rather easily. Even Manny Pacquiao, his nemesis’ trainer Freddie Roach too has predicted that Floyd Mayweatehr Jr will be able to easily beat him in a rather one-sided match.

Mike Tyson, the former boxing great has said that the Mayweather vs Alvarez fight has come a bit too early for this 24-year old fighter and he is not ready for this huge challenge put on his shoulders. A boxing fan says, “I’m still saying the same thing I’ve been saying since day 1- while I admire canelo’s confidence he is not ready. Mayweather will not stand still to be hit by this guy, Canelo’s footwork is too slow to get in and out on mayweather and his stamina is not good enough to handle floyd through the second half of the fight. Mayweather 9-3 decision”. Though I don’t really predict this result, but Mayweather will be able to win this fight rather easily.

Despite all the tall claims by Canelo Alvarez –obviously through translators –it will be very difficult for him to even trouble him during the fight. Mayweather Jr has never lost a single fight in his whole professional career despite having fought against the best of the best boxers. So far he has won all the 44 fights including 26 knockouts.  Alvarez says, “This fight can change history, when I win this fight it will be a memorable win. This is what is motivating me…I’m not worried about the occasion. In my career I’ve always been able to focus very well despite being in some very tough fights. I’m a fighter who has always been very strong mentally and very cold in my thoughts”. But this all seems mere tall claims without substance at the moment.
