Windows 8 is creating buzz in market. From tablets, it has now come to many Ultrabooks. Every major computer maker (Microsoft OEM partner) has launched a new machine. If you look at the shelves, you can see a range of high performance Ultrabooks with the software. They are famous for their slim design and highly powerful specs. Here we talk about five best Windows 8-based Ultrabooks. Here goes our list, keep on reading.

Dell Inspiron 15z: It is a 15.5-inch Ultrabook with Windows 8. Under the hood, the machine is equipped with a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U CPU, 6GB RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphical processor. It has 500GB of internal memory and a weight of just 5.19 lbs. PCMag shows off touch screen, built-in optical drive and spill-resistant keyboard as the major attributes of the device. It offers “plenty of bang for the buck, boasting solid performance and a feature set that helps deliver a smooth and intuitive Windows 8 experience,” says PCMag. It is priced at $1093.

Asus VivoBook S400CA: It is one of the low-priced Windows 8 Ultrabooks of the market. Priced at around $700, the 14-inch machine is powered by decent specs. The VivoBook packs a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-3317U CPU, 4GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphical card. The device packs 524GB of internal memory. Being special things, the Ultrabook has HDMI and VGA ports, quick boot-up from caching drive and ten point touchscreen and more.

Dell XPS 12: This is a wonderful 12.5-inch Ultrabook. The Windows 8 PC from Dell is up with a whopping 3GHz i7-3517U processor, 8GB of RAM and Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor. But, it lacks in internal memory as it only has 256MB of capacity. In line with its massive specs, the Dell machine is priced at $1699.

What is special with the XPS 12 is its flip-and-fold display that you can use to turn the Ultrabook to a tablet PC. Well, longer battery life, comfortable keyboard and touchpad will be other key features of the device. But, in spite of its flip-and-fold facility, the device is more an Ultrabook than a tablet PC. Moreover, it has only limited port selection.

Toshiba Portege Z935-P390: This Toshiba Ultrabook is a great device with a 13.3-inch display. It is indeed one of the best picks for you from the Windows 8 lineup. The new Portege Ultrabooks is mounting a 1.7GHz Core i5 processor, 128GB SSD and 6GB of RAM. It can beat many of its rivals in markets with these specs. It further includes a pair of USB 2.0 and a single USB 3.0 ports. You can also see an HDMI port, SD card slot and an old-school VGA port with the Windows 8 machine.

HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4t-1100: This is HP’s powerful member to the new line of Windows 8 ultrabooks. The device is known for its 14-inch display that features a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is also a richly spec’ed Ultrabook that highlights an Intel Core i5 3317U CPU, that runs at 1.7GHz. Further, it has Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor, 4GB of RAM and other as notable features. At 4.6 lb., the HP Envy 4 is a bit weightier than many of its rivals.

This year, there will be a steep increase in sales of Windows 8 Ultrabook. As per various surveys, these high-end machines will be leading laptop markets this year, an IHS iSuppli report has revealed. “After a “bleak” first quarter and a “slow” first half overall, Windows 8-based ultrathin laptops will “help revive the market” later in the year, the market researcher said,” writes CNET.

It means that apart from traditional laptops and PCs, more people will buy Ultrabooks with Windows 8 this year. Indeed, it will be a great thing for the entire PC industry that faces critical threat from tablets and smartphones.
