First Issue of ECI’s Newsletter Released by CEC Nasim Zaidi          

Dr. Nasim Zaidi Chief Election Commissioner and Sh. A. K. Joti, Election Commissioner have launched the first issue of ECI Newsletter here today . First issue of the quarterly Newsletter includes all the major electoral activities happened in the country during the period April-June, 2015.

The ECI Newsletter features all the important news and recent information about ECI’s projects and activities, sharing them with all the stakeholders. The Newsletter also covers many efforts of the ECI in different aspects of its functioning, including those in the areas of appointments and retirements, National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP), National Voters’ Service Portal and other electoral roll related activities, voters’ awareness activities, best practices, capacity building, conferences and consultations, election expenditure monitoring, important orders, international visitors and visits, engagement with other Election Managements Bodies of the world and election news from different parts of the country.

The Commission believes that the contents of the Newsletter map the range and depth of the ECI’s many areas of functioning and clearly shows its dedication to following its mandate. This publication will be very useful for whole election machinery in the country and other stakeholders in keeping themselves updated and informed. `
