Facebook ‘dislike’ button is work in progress: Mark ZuckerbergÂ
This has been a popular demand that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has faced for long. Now there are reasons to believe that the demand is going to be fulfilled. Facebook fans who are unable to show their dislike for something on the social networking giant will be able to dislike a post if that doesn’t appeal them.
This means that if you post something annoying, be sure to consider the consequences in the form of dislikes and more dislikes.
Mark Zuckerberg has said that his company whose graph is only going northwards, like the number of its users, is set to introduce a dislike button too. He made the announcement while talking at the wide-ranging Q&A at Facebook’s headquarters that was streamed online.
Nonetheless the Facebook boss said that things were not as easy as many people thought. Zuckerberg said it was a surprisingly complicated task to build the button. But the company has an idea that it will soon begin testing. For a long time Facebook has faced constant demands from its fans asking it to come out with a dislike button. Nonetheless till now the the company didn’t want to just give users an easy way to criticize a Facebook status. Zuckerberg said Facebook has found that users don’t want to vote down others, but would like to express support when someone shares something sad, such as news about a family member dying or an article about the refugee crisis.
While talking about the new development he said, “What they really want is an ability to express empathy…If you’re expressing something sad… it may not feel comfortable to ‘like’ that post, but your friends and people want to be able to express that they understand.â€
