Eagles of Death Metal band members return to Paris’s Bataclan, become emotional
Eagles of Death Metal went back to Paris to pay tribute to 89 victims of terrorism attack last month. Eagles of Death Metal band members were performing in Paris when terrorists entered the opera and then began the bloodbath that is now part of the ignominious history.
It was November 13 when the Eagles of Death Metal were performing at the Paris’s famed Bataclan Theater. No one will be able to forget the ghastly images of the killings in the heart of the French capital. The city of joy was turned into the city of death and destruction by a motley group of terrorists.
Now the U.S.-based band Eagles of Death Metal came back to Paris to pay their respect to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack.
Reports suggest that the band members placed flowers in front of the theater as rain fell and a handful of bystanders gathered to watch. Ever since the terrorist attack, the theater has been remained shut and it is expected to remain shut for many more weeks. The band members were fortunate to escape the human bombs and the indiscriminate firing.
While no Eagles of Death Metal band member lost his life, one local manager of the band was reportedly killed. Eagles of Death Metal co-founder Jesse Hughes said recently in an interview with HBO and Vice that he wants the band to return to the stage at the Bataclan when the theater is operational again. The band joined U2, which chose to cancel a concert in Paris following the attacks, on stage at the city’s AccorHotels Arena on Monday night.
