Dr Nafis completes training with a Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology
Aligarh: Dr Nafees Ahmad Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, AMU recently completed a one-month training programme in Interventional Pulmonology at the Serdang Hospital, Malaysia under Dr Jamalul Azizi , Head of Malaysian Association of Bronchology for 1 month.
Dr Nafis attended the programme after a prestigious Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology by Asia Pacific Society of Respirology was awarded to him.
With the Fellowship, Dr Nafis received training in advance Interventional Bronchoscopy procedures like Endobronchial stenting, Cryobiopsy, Cryosurgery , Foreign body removal, EBUS, Electormagnetic navigation bronchosocpy, Thoracoscopy and lung volume reduction surgery.
The training will help Dr Nafis in developing TB and Chest Department, JNMC further in the field of interventional pulmonology.
Before joining J N Medical college, he completed a two-year fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine in Max super specialty Hospital Saket, New Delhi, where he worked in Max super-specialty hospital as an Attending Consultant.
