Who won the GOP debate: Donald Trump creates a storm of sorts by calling Megyn Kelly names
Billionaire businessman and Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump seems to be doing one thing he knows best, making enemies. For the last two days the man is making headlines, and all for the wrong reasons.
While the media is analyzing what other Republican presidential hopefuls said that may be of importance for the US and its long term interests, Donald Trump is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
He has been spewing fire against one and all during and after the Republican Primary debate. It has been the only highlight of the intense debate that failed to bring a positive face of Donald Trump.
In the meantime Donald Trump has been shown the door from a prime speaking role to an important gathering of conservative activists. And this was the consequence of his sustained attack aimed at Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly after a combustible debate performance.
Reports suggest that the billionaire businessman Donald Trump who was scheduled to deliver the keynote address on Saturday night at a conference in Atlanta organized by Red State has been removed from the program.
While talking about the whole incident Red State chief Erick Erickson said he has removed Trump from the event because of what he described as “demeaning” remarks about Kelly. While talking about the whole affair, Erickson said, “While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too farâ€. To add salt to wounds he said that instead of Trump he would be inviting to attend the conference.
But if you thought that this would make any impact on Donald Trump you were completely wrong. “This is just another example of weakness through being politically correct…For all of the people who were looking forward to Mr. Trump coming, we will miss you. Blame Erick Erickson, your weak and pathetic leader. We’ll now be doing another campaign stop at another locationâ€, said he.
When Kelly confronted Trump on his misogynist comments of the past he tried to wave off the question and dismissed Kelly during a raucous debate performance. “And honestly Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry…I’ve been very nice to you, although I could probably maybe not be, based on the way you have treated me. But I wouldn’t do thatâ€, Trump said.
