Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 release date for USA threatened due to portrayal of women in game
Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 fans must be feeling disappointed on the news that the game will not be released in the US, UK or Europe and North America as a whole. Reports suggest that the issue that may keep the game away from the Western gaming enthusiasm in the voyeuristic beach volleyball game is the depiction of women.
Reports suggest that the makers of the Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 may not launch the game in the Europe and North America due to their apparent concerns over how Western audiences will respond to its depictions of women.
But these are apparently early reports and the publishers may even review their stand on it even before the launch of the game in Japan that is expected sometimes in February 2016. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 features a sun-tanning system and comes with many choices when it comes to dressing its full-figured characters in different attires will have its first launch in Japan on PS Vita and PlayStation 4. But the fans still have full two months or slightly more to wait for the much anticipated game.
The publishers of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 have been facing increasing level of criticism on the issue of portrayal of women in the game. The company was so much overwhelmed on social networking site that a representative for publisher Koei Tecmo wrote: â€œWe do not bring DOAX3 to the west and won’t have any plan change in the future.â€
The company said that it was not interested in talking about such tricky issues on social media at the moment. The company representative went on to add, â€œDo you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry? We do not want to talk those things here. But certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision.”
