David Bowie was paid an impressive and powerful tribute during the first “Saturday Night Live”, the first episode of the new year. Though the NSL has paid many tributes to top of the line people in its more than four decade old institution, Bowie tribute was simply impressive and it took our breaths away.

The first “SNL” episode of the year 2016 was simply a great experience for almost everyone. From laughter to paying homage to David Bowie, the SNL was simply impressive.

Fred Armisen was really superb while introducing the legend that David Bovie was. A Former cast member, he introduced a clip of Bowie’s first performance on the late-night sketch show in 1979.

Bowie made his next “SNL” visit in 1991 with the band Tin Machine. He returned as a solo musical guest again in 1997 and 1999.

Latest reports suggest that he was secretly cremated in New York. The news was confirmed by the PEOPLE magazine.

In the meantime the whole Hollywood seems to have been shocked by his sudden death. While condoling his death Mick Jagger said, “David was always an inspiration to me and a true original. He was wonderfully shameless in his work. We had so many good times together… He was my friend. I will never forget him.” Elton John says he is shocked and cannot believe the news. “I am still in shock. Never saw it coming. … My deepest condolences to Iman and the family. An amazing life. An amazing career”, said Elton John.

The tributes are still pouring from every part of the world. Yusuf Islam or Cat Stevens in a statement said, “He has left us for another world, beyond the darkness of this present one vividly so depicted in the shadows of his last video. I truly pray he’s welcomed to the light by his Maker in that great today, which has no tomorrow.”
