Electrician dies after falling from Los Angeles’ Wilshire Grand Tower: Latest update

A construction worker reportedly fell to death at the massive Wilshire Grand Tower on South Figueroa Street. Reports suggest that he fell down while working in a room on the 57th floor of the yet to be completed building in Los Angeles. This is going to be the highest sky-scrapper in this part of the world.

While confirming his death a Los Angeles fire department spokesperson released a statement confirming the death or the worker and said that he hit a car while falling from the building.

Information being received from downtown said that the person who lost his life in the incident was an electrician in his second day working. The said skyscraper is going to be the tallest building in the West and the man fell as much as 800 feet to his death on Thursday.

Los Angeles Times photographer Mel Melcon, who was on assignment at the building, said he heard the man hit the ground.

The company that is managing the project said that no electrical work was being done close to the edge of the building.
