Central Coalfields Limited registers record production, says Gopal Narain Singh
New Delhi: This is a great news for the managers of the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL). Latest reports suggest that the company has registered a record growth of 11.02 percent in raw coal production during the year 2014-15.
Company’s Managing Director Gopal Narain Singh while talking about the great news said that the Central Coalfields Limited is actually the first subsidiary of Coal India to achieve its production target as well as register growth in raw coal output.
While praising the company and his policy towards taking the Central Coalfields Limited to the next level he said that transparency, ethical behaviour and cooperative approach have been instrumental for change in the mindset of stakeholders. He went on to add that locals and villagers had faith in CCL. Coal production had stagnated at around 48 million ton (MT) for four consecutive financial years from 2009-10 to 2012-13 due to “acute shortage” of land, said Singh. He added that CCL notched up a double-digit growth rate with production of 55.64 MT, surpassing its desired target for the year.
