Bijender Sharma writes: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared Class XII result. The boys outshined girls in this year’s result of Tibetan schools.

Tibetan schools achieved a pass percentage of 89.65 % against CBSE pass percentage of 80.91% in the examination held in March this year.

Out of 1140 Tibetan students who appeared in the All India Senior School Certificate Examination, 1022 students have successfully passed the exam.

Eight students have secured more than 90 marks in Tibetan language.

Among the 14 Tibetan schools, CST Paonta Sahib is the only school with 100% result, followed by TCV Gopalpur with 99.48%, TCV Bylakuppe (99.31%), CST Kalimpong (97.37%), THF Mussoorie (96.25%) and CST Mundgod (94.19%).

Yogesh Sharma of CST Herbertpur topped in Science stream with a score of 94.2%, whereas Ngawang Yangzom of THF Mussoorie has topped in Science among the Tibetan students with 81.2%. Thupten Rinzin of TCV Bylakuppe has topped in Commerce stream with 86.8%, and Sonam Dolkar of TCV Gopalpur in the Humanities stream with 86%.

The 102 students who have failed in one subject will have to reappear in the exams slated for July /August.

This year, out of the 516 boys who have appeared in the exam, 92.25% of them have passed as against 624 girls who have appeared with pass percentage of 87.5%.

As per news report, the performance of independent and private school candidates have shown a slight dip. Their result last year was 88.39% while this year it is 87.81%. Over 548,000 students appeared for Class XII board examination both in India and abroad.
